Taproot Presents Seattle Premiere of Daddy Long Legs

As Taproot Theatre enters a new year, their first project is an ambitious two-person musical, which is being professionally recorded following COVID-19 safety protocols provided by the State of Washington. Daddy Long Legs is a new-to-Seattle musical featuring breathtaking music, lyrics, and book by the same creative team that brought the musical Jane Eyre to Taproot audiences in 2014 – Paul Gordon and John Caird. The play is directed by Producing Artistic Director Karen Lund and features Rheanna Atendido and Christian Quinto

The play is set in 1908 and features a wise and witty orphan Jerusha Abbott who has an anonymous benefactor offering to pay for her college education. In return, the only thing she must do is write him monthly and never expect a response. Who knew a one-sided correspondence with her “Daddy Long Legs” could inspire such a (truly socially-distanced) romance?

Taproot will stream the production from March 12 through April 3.  Tickets are available online now at https://taproottheatre.org/shows/2021/daddy-long-legs/. Pricing is $20 single-viewer or $30 multiple-viewers/single device (fees apply). Streaming access begins March 12 through ShowTix4U.com.
