Back from the Dead-Animal Saints and Animal Sinners-delights at 18th and Union

Back from the Dead-Animal Saints and Animal Sinners best ever at 18th and Union

One of my favorite events at my favorite theatre in Seattle is the storytelling group Animal Saints and Animal Sinners, comprised of Bret Fetzer, Scot Augustson and Kelleen Conway Blanchard. Although they are always incredibly superb, last night they reached stratospheric heights, in terms of fantastic writing and snappy delivery, Back from the Dead was the best of the best. What I also really love about this fantastic trio is that their styles and subject matter are all very different, but thematically unified.

Turbo Turkey-18th and Union

Turbo Turkey Greatest Hits Vol. 1

Turbo Turkey Sketch Comedy proudly presents their first-ever Greatest Hits show! They scoured the oceans and mountaintops and found nothing. Then they searched their brains and concocted a zany show full of characters, unique situations, and lots of laughs! It will be a night/afternoon of original sketch comedy.
Turbo Turkey Productions started in 2009 after completing Jet City improv classes to sharpen skills, and having previous sketch comedy experience in Indiana, Adam set out to create a sketch and improv group.

Turbo Turkey is proud to bring Greatest Hits to the 18th and Union and put on their biggest sketch show in years. Enjoy the ride!

Eggs Animal Saints and Sinner-Storytelling at 18th and Union

Eggs and their Manifestations

Yet again eccentric Seattle storytellers Scot Augustson, Kelleen Conway Blanchard and Bret Fetzer have delivered the goods at 18th and Union by their incredibly interesting, funny, stories which are ostensibly about animals but are really about the vicissitudes of being human.

Revive: A Window into the Mind of a People

18th and Union’s newest world premiere production: Revive, a two-person show created and put on by Porscha Shaw and Jay O’Leary, brings together an impressive conglomeration of poetry, music, and movement to create an astoundingly real and rooted experience in black culture. Centered around the desire to celebrate and acknowledge a culture that has been suppressed and shrouded in negativity for many years, this show aims to provide an exploration into the thoughts and feelings of those deeply embedded within it by people who live it and experience it every day.
