Crazy Woke Asians Virtual Comedy Festival

Crazy Woke Asians, the always sold out comedy show and only All Asian comedy show at the World Famous Comedy Store, will present a Virtual Comedy Festival on the meeting app Zoom, streaming on LIVE on Facebook, Youtube andInstagram. Participating comedy troupes are: Asians Never Die, Ricefeed, Unexpected Productions in Seattle, and Apt503 Lounge.

The Festival coincides with Asian Pacific Heritage Month and is a benefit for Guardians of the Angeles Charitable Foundation (supplies Personal Protective Equipment to first responders and hospitals all over the U.S.) and Feeding America.

Crazy Woke Asians: The Always Sold-Out Comedy

Seattle native Kiki Yeung, who performed in Seattle with Pork Filled Players, and Freehold Engaged Theatre, has produced and will host, a mini tour of Crazy Woke Asians. The perennially sold out comedy show will take place at three different locations Unexpected Productions(Pike Place Market Theater),Laughs Comedy Club(University District) and Comedy on Broadway (Jai Thai on Broadway) between July 24th and July 26th.

Of all the Army bases in all the World, why’d you have to end up in Ft. Riley, Kansas

Tea, a play by Velina Hasu Houston, opened this weekend at Dukesbay Theater in Tacoma. Taking place in 1968, it tells the story of five Japanese women who came to the U.S. after World War II as “War Brides.” Unfortunately, these married “lifers” ( soldiers who stayed in the army after the war for 20 years). As a result, they all ended up at the infamous place all servicemen avoid: Ft. Riley, Kansas.
