Noted Seattle raconteur Kent Whipple recounts being the bullied child who becomes a bully himself to a neighbor with special needs — and the unexpected forgiveness and grace that changes his life.Comedian and actor Ellen Acuario remembers a time when her own impending motherhood forces her to confront what she alleges was a lifetime of abuse from a family member and break the chain of generational trauma. The following week brings the episode Unexpected, featuring a trio of tellers making their way through life’s unforeseen trials. Angel Taherazer reflects on a time when her father in her native Iran worked to distract her from the horrors of war. For Unexpected Productions ensemble member, Melissa Reaves, the anticipation of her yearly birthday card from her mother turns her life, and the lives of her elderly parents, upside down. And Erin Popelka uses lessons she learned when her office was attacked by “murder hornets” in Japan to help her get through a sudden life change during the Covid-19 pandemic. Watch the trailer here.
